More good food from Perth.

Here is a restaurant known as d'spoon Taste of Asia in Karawara shopping center (Karawara is a residential surburb within the Metro area of Perth). The shopping centre has many other shops including Coles supermarket, IGA supermarket and many other food shops, newsagency and so forth.
Let's get back to d'spoon Taste of Asia. The photo above shows some of the dishes made by the restaurant. They are some of our favourites. The menu at d'spoon consists of Indonesion dishes and other Asian dishes. Here we have (clockwise) Oxtail soup with herbs and spices, egg noodles mixed with meat mince, White rice with 5 small side dishes and Yellow rice with 4 small side dishes. I would say each dish is considered a hawker food. With regards to White rice with 5 small side dishes, they were beef rendang, egg with sambal and so on. And with regards to the Yellow rice, the 4 small side dishes were a piece of fried chicken (fried Indonesian way), fried anchovies with peanuts and so forth as the photo shows.
Instead of hawker food, try ordering rice served with maybe 2 or 3 main dishes. The main dishes could be a fish dish, a meat dish and/or a vege dish. It's just another way of eating Asian.
