Pho and Pork Chop Rice

There are many Vietnamese Restaurants throughout Perth. I am always in search of the best Pho. It has to have at least white silky soft flat rice noodles and the beef stock where you can taste the beef flavour, not artificial but actual beef stock which has been boiled for hours.

Pho is a Vietnamese soup noodle dish. It is beef stock with flat rice noodle served with mint and bean sprout on the side.  It is also served with a piece of lemon and cut chilli on the side (as shown in photo). I normally order the combination beef Pho. Here's how we can enjoy Pho, by adding the bean sprout and mint into the soup. And then squeezing the lemon juice into soup. Give it a bit of a mix and off you go. Leave the chilli as a 'dipping' for the meat, etc.  You can soak the chilli in soy cause this becomes the dipping sauce or chilli soaked in hoi sin sauce. I like hoi sin sauce with cut chilli as a dipping. Yum!
And the Pork chop rice. How can i not mention this Vietnamese delicacy! Delicious! It comes with fish sauce mix and a bowl of home made soup on the side (photo). You would normally pour the fish sauce mix onto the plate of rice. Then mix it well. And as you eat the rice you can enjoy sipping the bowl of soup. As the name suggest it comes with a piece of tender, lean succulent pork chop. There's also egg with pickled vege (very tasty), fresh pork strips and a piece of Vietnamese ham. All that served on a plate with fish sauce mix and a bowl of home made soup on the side.
Enjoy!
